||The State in the Context of Globalization: Rethinking the Concept
||The article deals with the changing perceptions about the state, its features and elements in contemporary integration processes. The author argues that globalization requires a revision of traditional theoretical concepts, as being elaborated on the basis of analysis of domestic social practices, they do not correspond to new social realities. One such concept is that of the state. The article describes the transformations undergone by such elements of the state as territory, population and power; analyzed various theoretical interpretations of state sovereignty offered by modern researchers, reflecting the problems encountered in the process of European integration.
