ARTICLE TITLE: Political Cynicism: the Concept, Practice, Alternative
AUTHORS: Obolonsky A.
ABSTRACT: The subject of article is too topical, than wishes to be, unfortunately. The notion of political cinicism and evolution of it from ancient Chinese Legism through Machiavellism to modern time are analysed. The components of post-totalitarian syndrom – legitimity of amoralism, anomy of values, activistic conformity, syndroms of a "small" and lonely man, – what characterize contemporary Russian society, are described. Political romanticism, realism and "banality of heroism" are considered as a positive alternative for cinicism and "banality of evil".
